Thoughts from Sensei

Thanksgiving

Today is the one day set aside where we, as a country, sit back and express our thankfulness for our blessings.  Personally, I've been trying to be more thankful everyday for those blessings in my life.

The longer that I teach, the more thankful I am for the opportunity to teach and train with everyone at Phoenix Gaithersburg.  Our classes are stacked with boys and girls; men and women who refuse to settle for intentional mediocrity.  We are striving to forge greatness and that takes a lot of hard work.  I'm thankful that we have so many parents who are encouraging their children to continue to work hard.  I'm thankful for the teenagers who are so counter culture and voluntarily subjecting themselves to challenging training.  I'm thankful for the number of veterans and law enforcement personnel is our adult group.  From our youngest, newest student in the kids class to our experienced adults, I am so grateful for every single one of you.
