This comes as a shock to a lot of people, but I don't offer free trial classes. It's not about money. It's not about work. In all honesty, it's not about me at all. Nope...I stopped offering free classes because it's not what's best for YOU!
Think about It. Why do people want to start martial arts training? Why do parents want to get their kids into training? Typically, the answers to those questions are amazing...we want to: - improve our fitness - increase our energy - regulate our emotions - learn how to defend ourselves - train how to defend others - become more that we are - try something we've always been curious about
There are loads of other reason people get started. It's difficult to see progress on any of those intentions in a single 45-90 minute training session. Big goals take time...and support.
Our dojo has been described as "a community of learning". It's tough to get plugged into a community in one class...especially if that first class happens to be a real grinder, with very little time to engage with others.
So, before you ask for a free class, ask yourself why you want to get started in the first place. Why do you want to try this martial arts thing out? Do you really think you will get your answers in one class? Give it some time...invest in yourself.
